Men's Night Out — May 8, 2009
Our first "Men's Night Out" was a great opportunity for sharing and learning. We enjoyed a sumptuous meal during which the 12 men present got to know one another and hear stories of our own experiences with domestic violence— there was some very deep and emotional sharing.
We learned a bit from the men of Covenant Congregational Church about the formation of their group, their mission (we need to ask them for a copy) and some tips on successful fundraising. We also learned that their work with domestic violence has resulted in men working together in other areas of their church life.
